Why Study in Dundee?

Research in Dundee

Dundee is internationally recognised as a centre of excellence for life sciences and specifically cancer research.

The Dundee Cancer Centre PhD programmes capitalise on the strong basic science research, clinical excellence and a commitment to translational research and drug discovery to provide a unique training opportunity specifically targeted to the needs of incoming students and clinicians.

Basic science research at the University of Dundee is applied to understanding disease mechanisms and causation.

The PhD programmes will be hosted jointly by the College of Life Sciences and the College of Medicine, Dentistry & Nursing at the University of Dundee. Students will be based either at the Ninewells Hospital site or the main campus in the city centre, which are two miles apart.
